Once upon a Time

Once upon a Time!
There was a Future
We lost it in the jungles of
A barbaric Past.
Which now appears
To be trying
To resurrect itself.

And in the process,
Bulldozing everything
Which is sacred to us.
Be it Love, Life,
Or Liberty.

There are
Those who know
That without that Future
We have nowhere to go.
And going back is possible
Only in the annals of
Science fiction.

They also know that
There is no option
But to fight
To liberate our Future from
The stinking embrace
Of the Past.

And fight they will
Till the final victory.
